In the past 11 months, Vietnam’s natural rubber exports reached 1.7 million tons with a value of nearly 3 billion USD.
Compared to the same period in 2020, the amount of rubber exported increased by nearly 12% but the value increased by nearly 41%. Information has just been released at the seminar “Ready for the next “new normal”: Future directions for the rubber industry”.
Rubber is always in the group of key export agricultural products, accounting for a significant proportion of the total export turnover of Vietnam’s agricultural products. Currently, Vietnam’s rubber export output is on average 1.6 – 1.7 million tons per year, export turnover has always grown over the years to reach over 2 billion USD.

Especially in 2021, rubber exports still achieved impressive growth despite the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic. With the third position in the world in terms of export value, Vietnamese rubber has been present in more than 80 countries and territories around the world, mainly in big markets such as China, India, Germany, the United States and emerging markets Russia, Taiwan… Global supply of natural rubber is expected to be in short supply due to the impact of the prolonged rainy season in some Asian countries by the end of 2021. While the outlook is The demand for natural rubber may be subject to risks related to the new variant and the possibility of a re-emergence of the Covid-19 epidemic in the winter.
